Tade Ipadeola is a legal luminary and respected Nigerian poet. He won the Nigerian Prize for Literature with his poetry collection Sahara Testament in 2013. Tade also writes in Yoruba and won the Delphic Laurel in Poetry for his Yoruba poem “Songbird” at the Delphic Games in Jeju, South Korea in 2009.

Ipadeola’s poetic exploit was inspired by the works of Christopher Okigbo and J P Clark. He was also born to parents who are teachers: his father taught literature while his mother taught Yoruba, and these shaped his strength in the two core competences.

He graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University and also Nigerian Law School.
