Prof Meihong Wang is a Professor of Energy system and lectures at the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, University of Sheffield, UK.
He is the first non-Nigerian to clinch the prize, together with a Nigerian, Dr Mathew Aneke with their research work on “Carbon Capture, Carbon Utilization and Biomas Classification and Energy Storage for Power Generation”, which is a response to how to deal with erosion, desertification and desert encroachment in Nigeria. He is a British –Chinese citizen and has won several international awards including SAGE Best Research paper prize and LUDWIG Monde Prize both in 2014.
