Prof Ebenezer Meshida was a scientist and Professor of Engineering Geology and Geophysics at the University of Lagos before he moved to Afe Babalola University. Meshida was the receiver of several awards most pre-eminent of which was the Nigeria Prize for Science, 2008, with his research entitled “Solution to Road Pavement Destabilization by the Invention of ‘Laterite’. He received $50,000 for the work. Prof Meshida passed on in 2020.
