In 2017, three research works were found to be of merit in controlling malaria spread in Nigeria. The spread of Malaria had been fingered as one of the most pressing challenges facing Nigeria and three works made significant contributions. One of the works was by Chukwuma Agubata and it was entitled ‘Novel Lipid Micro-particles for Effective Delivery of Artemether Anti-Malaria Drug using locally-sourced Irvingia fat from Nuts of Irvingia Gabonensis var Excelsa (Ogbono)”.

Dr Agubata is a lecturer in Pharmaceutical Faculty in University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
